· PRIVATE WELLS – Waters from private wells require at least annual laboratory analysis / proof of conformity with local water regulations in order to be used for drinking. Water quality is never constant and can rapidly degrade based on many external factors. It’s important to be able to test regularly and specifically when in doubt, or after long period of vacancy.
· FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS – Rely on municipal water supply to provide drinking water and soft drinks to their customers. Testing for bacteriological integrity of the water supply, where the water quality is questionable, is crutial for business.
· OUTDOOR CAMPING FACILITIES – Rely on local wells or remote municipal water suplies.
· HOLIDAY & RENTAL HOMES – When renting to the public, the landlord has responsibility for the water quality he provides to his rental guests. Prolonged vacancies of holiday homes, with stagnant waters in pipes, are ideal conditions for bacteria growth. It’s good practice to let water flow when arriving in a holiday residence. It will flush excess bacteria. System should be regularly tested for general condition.
